BESPOKE HAND EMBROIDERY — MILAN

Your garment.
Your mark.
Made to last.

I work on garments you already own and love, translating identity, history, and intention into hand embroidery of the highest sartorial standard.

THE PREMISE

I do not produce garments. I work on the ones you already own, because the point is never novelty, it's continuity.

A garment that carries your mark cannot be replicated. That is the only luxury that holds.

DEFINED TOGETHER

How a commission
actually works.

01

DISCOVERY CALL

A focused 30–45 minute conversation. I will have read your questionnaire carefully. We refine the direction, confirm the service level, and establish whether we are the right fit for each other.

02

YOU COMPLETE THE QUESTIONNAIRE

Before we speak, you answer a set of questions about your identity, your wardrobe, and what you're looking for. This is not a formality, it is where the work begins. Your answers shape the entire commission.

03

BRIEF AND DEPOSIT

You receive a written brief with the embroidery concept, timeline, and final price. A 50% deposit confirms the commission. Then you send or deliver the garment.

04

EXECUTION

I work. You receive one progress update mid-way through. No unnecessary communication, no approval loops, you have already made the decisions that matter.

05

DELIVERY

The garment is returned to you with a written care guide and documentation of the work. The remaining balance is settled on completion.

WHERE IT BEGINS

Before the call,
the questions.

Every Embroiderly commission starts here — not with a call, but with you. The questionnaire takes 10–15 minutes and asks about your identity, your wardrobe, and what you want the embroidery to carry.

  • Your answers are read carefully before we speak

  • The better you articulate your vision, the more precise the result

  • Completing the form does not commit you to anything

THE QUESTIONNAIRE

Stitch your vision — tell me who you are

Five sections covering identity, wardrobe, visual references, project intent, and timeline. Designed to give the commission a foundation before we meet.

  • 10–15 minutes

  • Entirely confidential

  • No commitment required

  • Available in Italian and English

From those who commissioned

  • "Martina transformed a plain white office shirt into a piece that shows the world my greatest passion. The embroidery speaks for itself: knowledge, dedication, precision."

    — Engi

  • "What struck me immediately was her professionalism, the impeccable organisation, from the commission system to the mid-process update. A rare standard."

    — Silvia

  • "A sweater I could no longer wear was reborn. It acquired an unexpected personality. The result was extraordinary, far beyond what I imagined."

    — Simona

THE HAND BEHIND THE WORK

Martina Della Mora

Embroiderly is the consolidation of everything I have learned about the relationship between identity and what we wear.

  • Fashion Design — Politecnico di Milano

  • Theatrical Tailoring — Accademia del Teatro alla Scala

  • Ermenegildo Zegna — Domenico Caraceni — Golden Goose

  • Educator in hand embroidery since 2022

Questions worth
answering properly.

  • No. Some people arrive with a precise vision; others with a feeling and nothing more. The questionnaire and the discovery call are designed precisely to work through ambiguity. What matters is that you have a garment you care about and a sense that something is missing from it.

  • Essence commissions begin at €250. Signature commissions begin at €500. The final price depends on complexity, technique, and time and is confirmed in writing before any work begins. Couture projects are priced individually after an initial conversation.

  • No. The discovery call happens remotely. The garment can be shipped securely, I will provide guidance on how to do this properly. If you are based in Milan and prefer to meet in person, that can be arranged.

  • Essence commissions typically take 2–3 weeks from receipt of the garment. Signature commissions take 3–6 weeks. Couture timelines are agreed individually. Every deadline is confirmed in writing before work begins and kept.

  • Most natural fabrics — wool, cashmere, linen, cotton, silk, some polyester blends — can receive embroidery, though each presents different technical considerations. If there is any question about whether your garment is suitable, I will tell you honestly before any commitment is made.

  • +

Yes, and it is one of the most considered things you can give someone. Embroiderly’s gift cards are written by hand and shipped by mail, though you can request a digital one, if you prefer.

A garment you already love,
made entirely your own.

The questionnaire is where every commission begins. It takes 10–15 minutes and asks the questions that make the work possible.
